"The day 'Still Life' was completed I was ecstatic.  It was created with colors, strokes and washes I'd never used before,  I never knew they even existed.  It was the constant pursuit of the image I had in my mind that led me down this new path.  There were no directions or guidebooks.  It all comes from the excitement and passion of painting your response to the subject, to push yourself where youv'e never gone before."
