"This painting depicts the emotion I felt while observing the mullet fisherman of Salter Path, a small fishing village in coastal Carolina.  As the evening was coming to a close, the twilight aura that surrounded the fisherman and their skiff was breathtaking.  They moved so swiftly to raise the net it almost became a dance.  This was not a mighty vessel  with steel machinery and acres of nets.  It was a wooden skiff, a net and tradition.  It is their way of life."
